Background
Karen undertook her studies in Psychology in South Africa, and completed her post-graduate studies in Education at the University of Cambridge. She conducted research for several Mathematics Education projects before being appointed General Manager for SPSS South Africa. In her three years there, she developed and presented several data analysis training courses. Since migrating to Melbourne in 2005, she has continued to use her quantitative analysis skills in various contexts. In April 2007, she joined ithe Key Centre for Women’s Health, where she has contributed to several reproductive mental health projects by managing and analysing complex data sets.

• Postnatal depression and anxiety in men and women
• The impact of ART on women’s and men’s psychological wellbeing
• Classification trees as a method of analysis to predict mental health outcomes
