Summary
This longitudinal study of young people in one Melbourne municipality, the City of Maribyrnong, will examine the intersection between health and wellbeing and the education and employment pathways of young people living in a disadvantaged area of Melbourne. The study will employ both quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate the structural, service delivery, familial and individual factors that facilitate young people?s transitions from school to further education and employment. Ultimately, the study will provide evidence to inform the development of policy and the delivery of health, welfare and education services that will assist young people and their families in Maribyrnong and other disadvantaged areas, to create healthy, economically sustainable futures
